Katherine Heigl has opened up about being raised in "a White bubble." She also explains how that realization has affected her parenting of adopted children who are multi-racial. She is the "Firefly Lane" and "Grey's Anatomy" actress revealed in a recent interview that in regards to skin color -- it wasn't a factor for her the way she looked however, after speaking with her older sister who was taken in to South Korea, she realized how differently society viewed both of the two. Meg was asked if she was treated differently when they were out together with their parents, and the time they were on their own. Meg replied "Oh, yes, every time!" It made me realize I was naive," Heigl said to parents. She became enraged at the time, and chose to channel her anger into support her two adopted daughters. Heigl and her long-time husband -- the singer Josh Kelley -- have a 4-year-old son together, Joshua Bishop Kelley, Jr. In 2009, the couple adopted Nancy Leigh (12), a daughter from South Korea, and Adalaide (8 the black child) in the year 2012.
