Laura Linney was one of the best American actors of recent times. Her savacious and flimsy roles has made her a household famous. Born to a famous playwright's father, and raised by a single mother who worked by working as a nurse. She became interested in theatre while working with her father during the summer then pursuing acting studies, initially in Brown University and then at Juilliard School. After graduating at Brown University in the year 2000, she began her Broadway debut in the following year. Within two years of this, her first feature film came out and the next year her TV debut. In the years since she has appeared in a variety of films, television productions as well as stage productions. There were many awards she received during her professional career, including the four Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards. The actress has received nominations for five Tony Awards and three Oscar Awards nominations. However, despite her recognitions and awards, theatre is still her passion and she'll continue to perform on the stage and on screen.
