Amy Lou Adams, full name Amy Lou Adams (born 20 August 1974, Aviano Italy), American actress. Amy Lou Adams is famous for her naive roles that are charming and beloved by critics. Adams was one of seven children who lived as a young child in Castle Rock, CO. She was born while her father was working for the U.S. Military in Italy. She began dancing and acting professionally at the end of the 90s. She was part of Boulder Dinner Theatre, and then the Country Dinner Playhouse. After moving to Minnesota where she was a contestant in a film mock-documentary about beauty pageants titled Drop Dead Gorgeous (1998). The actress moved in Los Angeles after making her debut on the screen as a good-natured but naive contestant. From June 1951 until September 22, 1962 she got tied to actress Tony Curtis. She is also the mother of Kelly Curtis & Jamie Lee Curtis. The actor Norma Shearer Leigh secured a contract with MGM and started her career as a film actress in the early 1940s. She appeared in several popular films in the next decade, such as Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) as well as Living It Up (a Martin and Lewis-film from 1954).
